An Exceptional Built Heritage

The Castle is the most often cited architectural symbol of Maisons Laffitte.

 

However, it is only part of the immense architectural heritage that Maisons Laffitte possesses.

 

In addition to the 20 buildings listed as Historic Monuments , 295 other houses, residences, villas and buildings are listed in the Elements of Built Heritage to Protect.

 

This protection is granted because of the unique urban, architectural or landscape characteristics of each of its buildings: any demolition, modification is prohibited or strictly regulated.

 

Of these 295 Protected Buildings, 97% (287) of them are Villas and Individual Houses ...
